GNSS-NavIC L5+S Option Card

Resilient timing infrastructure increasingly demands independence from single-constellation GNSS sources. The GNSS-NavIC L5+S Option Card enhances the SecureSync® 2400 platform with robust multi-constellation capability, including India’s NavIC system, strengthening timing integrity in environments facing GNSS interference or regional dependency risks.

Overview

The GNSS-NavIC L5+S Option Card expands the SecureSync 2400 ecosystem by integrating native NavIC L5 and S-band support alongside major global constellations. With up to 256 tracking channels and high-precision timing performance, the card improves signal availability, positioning resilience, and regional compliance.

Designed for seamless integration, existing SecureSync 2400 units can be upgraded in the field, enabling customers to enhance their timing infrastructure without full system replacement.

High Security

Built on the hardened SecureSync platform, the option card inherits advanced network protection and access control capabilities. Security features include:

* SSL/TLS encrypted communications
* SSH and secure file transfer (SFTP/SCP)
* SNMPv3 secure monitoring
* LDAP authentication support
* Access Control Lists (ACLs) and iptables firewall
* Symmetric-key authenticated NTP
* HTTPS with SHA-256 signing
* FIPS 140-2 certified cryptomodule

These mechanisms help ensure trusted timing delivery in critical infrastructure environments.

Networking That Scales

The NavIC option card supports flexible timing distribution across modern network architectures. It integrates cleanly with SecureSync’s high-bandwidth NTP and IEEE 1588 PTP capabilities, enabling:

* NTP and PTP timing distribution
* White Rabbit support
* Telecom timing outputs (E1/T1)
* Multiple 1 PPS and 10 MHz outputs
* IRIG timecode distribution

This scalability allows operators to expand timing networks while maintaining tight synchronization accuracy.

Reliability

Engineered for mission-critical deployments, the option card delivers fast acquisition and stable timing:

* Cold start TTFF < 60 seconds
* Reacquisition time < 2 seconds
* PPS timing accuracy ±20 ns (UTC aligned)
* Oscillator options: TCXO, OCXO, low phase-noise OCXO, Rubidium

These features maintain precise holdover and rapid recovery during signal disruptions.

Monitoring

Operators gain full visibility into GNSS and NavIC performance through SecureSync’s management ecosystem. The card supports:

* Navigation outputs (NMEA v2.3 & 4.11, Binary, RINEX)
* Proprietary ASCII management interface
* Real-time health and status reporting
* Remote firmware upgrade capability

This enables streamlined integration into automated monitoring environments.

Modularity

The GNSS-NavIC L5+S Option Card preserves SecureSync’s hallmark modularity. Key capabilities include:

* 256-channel multi-GNSS receiver
* User-selectable constellation configuration
* Compatibility with quad-band L5+S antenna
* Field upgrade for existing SecureSync 2400 units
* Support for CORS deployments (SPP, PPP, RTK)

This flexibility allows precise tailoring to telecom, defense, power, and national timing applications.
